Black Tie 25th Wedding Anniversary and 50th Birthday Celebration at Intercontinental London – The O2
When we got a call from Mrs O saying she was looking for a planner for her 50th birthday and their 25th wedding anniversary, we got excited because 25 years of marriage is a big deal!
We totally LOVE Dr & Mrs O’s love, the way they look at and treat each other is just so amazing even after 25 years of marriage. We used to just smile during every meeting with them because it was so clear they were friends and really enjoy each other’s company and the public display of affection during every meeting was so sweet. They were totally into each other and you will think they only just got married recently. It was interesting to see that everything we had observed about their relationship were also said during speeches by their family and friends on the day. Their love was so beautiful to watch throughout the planning process and even on the day of the event.
The dress code for the day was black tie and the colours scheme for the event was dusty rose, cream with touch of green which we included in the design mood board created for the event. The colour scheme featured in the floral arrangements used for the welcome area photo backdrop, the deconstructed floral arch around the cake and the centrepieces.
Upon arrival at the venue, the guests were treated to tasty canapés and cocktail with a saxophonist playing to create a chilled ambience.
Shortly after the guests were seated, the food service commenced which was plated sit down dinner and consisted of two courses meal followed by speeches and the party.
The celebrants had an amazing time and so did their guests. It was lovely working with the Olarinmoye’s to plan this milestone event.
