Dahila & Seyi’s Autumn Wedding at Award-Winning Luxury Country Mansion, Hedsor House
Dahila & Seyi’s two in one wedding took place at the award-winning luxury country mansion, Hedsor House. The couple wanted their white wedding and Nigerian (Yoruba) traditional wedding on the same day at the same venue. Dahila is Jamaican and so the traditional wedding part was new experience for her family but they enjoyed it and feedback from Dahila’s mum after the wedding was that she would like to attend more traditional wedding.
How did we pull this off (two weddings in one day)?
The couple arrived in the morning with their bridal party to get ready at Hedsor House, by the way Hedsor has one of the most stunning bridal suite!
The short religious blessing took place in the domed-ceiling centre hall followed by photos outdoor (though the wedding was in October, the weather was kind to us, at least it did not rain!)
The guests were then treated to yummy canapés and drinks while styling of the ballroom was completed.
The ballroom looked beautiful with the couple’s colour scheme of olive, nude, beige, white and terracotta floral arrangements and centrepieces. The olive napkins with the white and olive menu card added a nice touch. Let us just say the venue stylist nailed the mood board we sent to them and the couple loved the set up as much as we did.
Once all the white wedding reception activities were completed, the guests remained seated in the ballroom entertained by the master of ceremony and DJ while the couple and their parents changed outfit for the Nigerian (Yoruba) traditional wedding which was hosted by the alaga (the traditional wedding coordinator).
The colour scheme of orange and gold for the traditional wedding reflected in the eru-iyawo (bridal gift) décor and in the couple’s outfit.
Post the traditional wedding, the guests were moved to the centre hall for the party (which had been converted with party lights and dancefloor whilst the guests were in the ballroom); enjoyed an open bar all evening plus buffet and the couple with their guests danced the night away.
It was a beautiful day for bride, groom, their family and guests. We will let the photos tell the rest of story, Enjoy!
