You cannot visit the island of Santorini and not fall in love with it, you’ll be completely mesmerized by its beauty. Between its white washed buildings, blue sky, iconic blue rooftops, expansive views of the sea and the amazing sunset, Santorini is one of the dreamiest destination wedding locations in the world as you cannot find these elements anywhere else. Santorini is a popular wedding destination for people all over the world.
This is one of the reasons why we were excited when we got a call from Juliana in May 2019 stating her cousin had recommended our services as they were looking for a wedding planner for their destination wedding in Santorini. It wasn't going to be our first time in Santorini as we had done another wedding there the previous year. From our first meeting with Juliana & Erwin, we knew they are a couple we'll love to work with as they are both so lovely.
The wedding was scheduled to take place in May 2020 but the pandemic happened which meant we had to postponed the wedding quite a few times because travel rules and restrictions kept changing. Juliana & Erwin are what you’ll call ‘real troopers’, they persevered through the multiple postponements and challenges/complications that travelling abroad in 2021 came with and to finally see everything come together and the wedding taking place in July 2021 was so amazing. They finally got their Santorini dream wedding!
The wedding took place at Santo Wines, which is a wedding venue located in Pyrgos village on the edge of the Caldera cliff, overlooking the volcano and the traditional villages of Fira and Oia. The couple got married in the venue’s private terrace.
Juliana in her stunning mermaid style and sheer floral lace wedding dress walked down the aisle with her dad to marry the love of her life. Her bridal bouquet was hand tied ivory and few blush roses with light pink lisianthus. Her entire look was flawless!
The couple profoundly in love looked absolutely stunning while exchanging vows in their intimate outdoor ceremony. The gazebo was decorated with two corners floral arrangements with foliage, ivory and blush flowers; the ceremony centrepiece laying on the table with ivory and blush standard roses and lisianthus with a bit of foliage to complete the more natural look of the arrangement. Other ceremony floral detail includes the small bouquets of ivory and blush standard roses, lisianthus and a bit of foliage on the aisle chairs.
The colour palette the couple went for was ivory and blush and the wedding flowers of ivory and blush roses, lisianthus and foliage also featured on the sweetheart table and the cake. The couple's chairs were decorated with garlands of ivory and blush standard roses, lisianthus and foliage.
Just before sunset, the couple departed to change and stopped for some magical sunset photos before making their way back to the reception to cut their cake and have their first dance with magical cold sparkler fountains surrounding them.
