Reni & Ife’s wedding at the luxury wedding venue, Ditton Park Manor was so romantic. We LOVE all the love notes and gifts exchanged during the prep in the morning, from the note and gift from the groom to the bride and the bride to the groom, her mum and dad, it was all so beautiful! The entire day was truly a love story.
The couple and majority of their guests travelled from Nigeria for what was a stunning destination wedding for them. The setting was picture-perfect with the sun shining but yet a gentle breeze blowing.
Having an outdoor ceremony was very important to the bride, this is one of the things she has always dreamt about for her wedding day. However, with the wedding being during the spring season in April and the unpredictable weather coupled with the fact that most of the guests have travelled from a country with an average weather of 37 degrees Celsius, we knew the spring temperature of an average of 12 degrees Celsius might be too cold for them. So to ensure the bride gets her dream wedding and at the same time the weather condition isn’t unbearable, we came up with the plan of putting up a temporary clear span frame marquee on the grass, which brought the natural beauty of the surrounding into the space giving that outdoor ceremony feeling but at the same time with heating to keep the guests warm! The personalised aisle runner with the wedding monogram and string quartet were also a win for the ceremony.
The dress code for the couple’s friends was black tie; and fascinators, hats and ties for the parents’ friends. We must say there were so many beautiful fascinators and hats on the day.
Ditton Park Manor was the ideal venue with its captivating combination of hidden history and idyllic gardens with various spaces available such as the atrium, private dining rooms, auditorium, the marquee for the reception and the beautifully manicured gardens. The wedding colour palette of blush, silver and a touch of plum were featured in the décor. The abundance of fresh flowers, lots of candles and the mood setting uplighting created the ambience of the romantic reception.
With the abundance of tasty treats, flowing champagne and cocktails, endless entertainment throughout the day (including a special performance from the Nigerian afrobeat recording artist, Wande Coal), flip flops for tired feet, the magic mirror booth and so much more as no detail was overlooked, the couple and their guests really did have an unforgettable experience! The night ended with a dazzling sparkler send-off; it was magical!
