Ayoola & Alex lives in the UK but both travelled to Lagos along with family and friends for the Yoruba traditional wedding. The wedding was certainly Lagos style with lots of food and amazing entertainment, there is no party like a Lagos party! (Lol).
Alex was awesome even with the idobale (the part where the groom has to prostrate in front of the bride’s parents and family. The idobale is an integral part of the Yoruba traditional wedding as the Yorubas are very big on respect and the idobale is a sign of respect in the Yoruba culture. The family were also awesome adapting to the culture and tradition (we love it!).
The décor was glamorous modern rustic, from the welcome to wedding sign to the backdrop to the centrepieces and the wedding cake. The hanging floral greenery chandeliers were gorgeous and transformed the space.
The Yoruba culture was featured in every aspects of the day, from the décor to the ceremony to the party and the couple looked absolutely lovely in their outfits, both the day time outfit of aso oke and the evening party outfit.
