Lola & Jamil’s wedding at the Meridian Grand, London screamed luxury and no expense was spared! It was two weddings in one day, with the Nigerian-Ghanaian traditional wedding being on the same day as the white wedding at the same venue. Check our next blog post for the Nikah wedding and reception. The traditional wedding was an intimate affair with just family and close friends only.
Lola & Jamil met when she was in University. They were good friends for a while before they started to date because Lola was not sure she could date a non-Yoruba guy. Years later, they tied the knot in what was a beautiful Nigerian-Ghanaian Nikah ceremony and a stunning wedding reception.
It was a ‘my big fat African wedding’ as it was glamorous with 460 daytime guests plus additional 100 guests in the evening and 22 hours working day for our team on the wedding day. Our day started at 5am with prep for the traditional wedding (makeup etc) and ended 3am the next day (when the last vendor departed the wedding venue). This wedding is definitely one to remember!
We are going to let the photographs do the talking for this wedding, Enjoy!
